Resort Overview
Samoens A lovely traditional Mountain town with its 7 peaks towering over you. This old village built using local stone really is like stepping back in time. Not a resort if you are after a buzzy apres scene, quiet bars and restaurants and some nice shops is more the thing here. The slopes are mainly North facing so hold their snow well. We would not suggest Samoens if you are a complete beginner.
Skiing Part of the Grand Massif ski area all 265 kms. This area links nicely with Morillon and also to the slightly further away areas of Les Carroz and Flaine (for higher altitude slopes and great off-piste opportunities). Ideal for intermediate skiers, which lets be honest is most people.
