Resort Overview
Zermatt Charming car free resort with lots of historical buildings from a bygone era, Certainly not the cheapest resort in the World but defiantly one of the prettiest with the ever imposing Matterhorn watching over you. With over 100 hotels to choose from most rather expensive but there are a few that are a little more reasonable . Lots of bars and restaurants and as you would expect some expensive shops to spend your hard earned cash in. The lift system is very good although access to the lift areas in town is not the easiest. Not really a resort to learn to ski at as there really is limited choices.
Skiing with 313 kms of slopes you are not going to get bored, great for intermediates and advanced skiers, Hop over to Cervinia in Italy for Lunch and enjoy the a bit of Italian skiing. With a lot of high altitude skiing you are not going to struggle for snow.
