Resort Overview
La Plagne is a combination of 11 villages. Montchavin/Les Coches and Champagne en Vanoise being the most traditional, they are lower in Altitude but the access to the high mountain range is ever so easy via the ski lifts. In fact staying in Montchavin or Les Coches is ideal for those that want to get easy access to Les Arc. Champagne en Vanoise which is in totally the other direction has relatively easy access to Courchevel Le Praz if you are self driving, Around a 20 minute drive away.
Belle Plagne and Plagne Belle Cote around the 2000 metre height are close to each other and with these two you gain good access to the Glacier at 3417 metres. Purpose built in its design so lacking a little charm but certainly not the worst. This is a good intermediate area with lots of blues and Reds.
Plagne Soleil, Plagne village again all purpose built, quite small in size both villages but a good mix of runs to suit all. good access here if you want to ski over the other side to Champagne
Plagne 1800, More of the typical chalet style concept

La Plagne is a firm favourite in the French Alps, renowned for its vast and varied ski terrain. With more than 425km of pistes, if you include Les Arc, it caters to every level — from complete beginners to seasoned skiers — ensuring there’s always a new run to explore.
