Meribel

Nestled at the heart of the Three Valleys – the largest interconnected ski area in Europe – Méribel provides direct access to a vast network of slopes, including those in neighbouring Courchevel and Val Thorens. With its charming wooden chalets and traditional Alpine architecture, Méribel stands out as one of France’s most scenic and sought-after ski destinations. Numerous Restaurants from high end to traditional Savoyard style Restaurants . Many many bars some lively with very good apres but many just nice and calm where you can relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

The vast Olympic building is where you can skate on the 1992 Olympic ring, Swim or slide in the pool, enjoy the wellness centre, work out in the Gym or play pool,10 pin bowling in the games area.

Skiing & Snowboarding in Méribel

For Beginners

Méribel is a great choice for families and first-time skiers, with gentle slopes and dedicated beginner zones throughout the resort. The Altiport area offers calm, wide nursery runs like Blanchot—ideal for building confidence. Once mastered the basics you may want to try the Yeti area of Meribel Mottaret, designed purely for 1st and 2nd week skiers. Younger skiers will love the animal Parc area and also the Inuit runs, both trails run through the trees around the Meribel Alitport area and are gentle but varied.

For Intermediates

With seemingly endless terrain to explore, intermediates will feel right at home. Cruise scenic tree-lined runs like Gelinotte or test your turns on fast, open reds such as those on Mont du Vallon. Méribel also offers seamless access to the well-groomed slopes of Courchevel and Val Thorens for even more variety.

For Advanced Skiers

Expert skiers can get their adrenaline fix on over 30 black runs across the Three Valleys. Try the Vertical experience which starts on the ridge of Meribel and drops into Courchevel or try the Black un groomed Tournier couloir run back into the Meribel Valley. Ski Mauduit top to bottom without stopping, it maybe red but its a leg burner for sure.

Off-piste enthusiasts can join a local guide for some of the best backcountry in the Alps. The Gébroulaz glacier route, with its vast untouched snowfields winding through the Tueda Natural Park, offers both a physical challenge and spectacular scenery.

None skiers

With its fantastic free resort bus service you can explore the whole Meribel area, Have lunch in the old village of Les Allues, Walk in the forest or snow shoe walk or Cross country ski around the lovely Altiport area. Meet up for lunch with friends/family in Mottaret or even go up to one of the peaks to meet up. Easily possible to get to Courchevel 1850 via the lift system to people watch. Of cause there are numerous shops to explore as well.
