Resort Overview
VAUJANY (1300m–3300m) isn’t your typical Alpine destination. Tucked into a picturesque slope at the edge of the Alpe d’Huez ski area, it enjoys over 300 days of dazzling sunshine each year. While it shares the same spectacular snow and scenery as the larger resorts, its charm lies in its quieter, more authentic atmosphere—making it the ultimate hidden gateway to world-class skiing. Vaujany’s swimming pool, gym and leisure centre are great for after skiing. La Villette is one kilometre up the road and is a lovely rural hamlet of chalets and old barns, some still housing Goats and chickens. From this village there is also a cable car to access the slopes above.
Vaujany is well connected to Alp d’huez but also has a good amount of its own slopes to enjoy, take the cable car in the morning to access lots of Blues and some reds heading towards the ski area above La Villette. This is a great area for beginners and intermediates. Once you have your ski feet you can easily head in the opposite direction towards all that Alpes d’huez has to offer.
La Villette is one km out of Vaujany and also has its own cable car to access the slopes above + its possible to ski home .
